Lil Smokies Three Ways

Share some of The Good Butcher’s housemade Lil’ Smokies with friends, and you’ll be the life of the party. With four varieties and a few suggested recipes below - they are sure to please a crowd.




1. Good Butcher Special


Around a 1lb pkg of Good Butcher Lil’ Smokies with wild blueberries, cut in half

1/2 cup blueberry jam

1/3 cup yellow mustard


Heat smokies in nonstick pan over medium-high heat in skillet till brown. Whisk together jam and mustard in a saucepan and warm over medium heat. Toss in smokies to coat and warm. Enjoy hot! Recipe doubles easily as well.




2. Good Butcher Original


Around a 1lb package of Good Butcher Original Lil’ Smokies, cut in half

1/2 cup ketchup

1/3 cup jalapeño jelly


Heat smokies in nonstick pan over medium-high heat in skillet till brown. Whisk together ketchup and jelly in a saucepan and warm over medium heat. Toss in smokies to coat and warm. Enjoy hot! Recipe doubles easily as well.




3. Good Butchers in a Blanket


Around a 1lb package of jalapeño and cheddar or cheddar Lil’ Smokies, cut in half

1 (8oz) package of crescent rolls

4 tbsp butter, melted


Dipping Sauce (optional)

1/2 cup mayo

1/4 dijon mustard

2 TBSP honey

1 TBSP lime juice

1 TBSP sriracha (if you want to bring the heat!)


Step 1: Preheat oven to 375º. Unroll crescents and tear triangles where perforated. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.


Step 2: Place 1/2 of a Lil’ Smokie on thick side of each triangle, then roll to the thinner side.


Step 3: Transfer to a lined baking sheet. Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt. Use extra crescent dough to treat your self.


Step 4: Bake pigs in a blanket until golden, 12 to 14 minutes.
